3/24/2011 - Conservation Program
The New Jersey Audubon Society is offering a free program on conservation incentive programs on Thursday, March 24th, at Cumberland County Cooperative Extension, 291 Morton Ave., Rosenhayn. Representatives from NRCS, the Farm Service Agency, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be there to explain programs that will reimburse and even pay farmers and landowners for using conservation-minded practices such as riparian buffer zones, pollinator habitat, wildlife plantings and erosion control measures.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for free refreshments; program from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
