Bridgeton Public Library Events For June

Preschool Story Time
Tuesdays, June 21 and 28 at 10:30 am.
Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs, finger plays, crafts and a snack. Story time is free and registration is requested.

Story and Craft
Tuesdays, June 21 and 28 at 10:30 am
Kids ages 7 and up are invited to share stories, activities and crafts. This program will take place at the same time as our Preschool Story Time and is perfect for older siblings! Homeschoolers are welcome. Registration requested.

Teen Tuesday – A Weekly Program For Teens Ages 12-18
Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

Teen Library Council Meeting
TLC members help plan programs for teens and children, choose new books for the library, and much more! New members are welcome.

Tuesday, June 21 at 6pm
Teen Anime Night
Watch newly released anime, and choose new anime and manga for the library. Those who like to draw are encouraged to bring their art to share. No registration required!

Tuesday, June 28 at 6pm
Decorate Your Space!
Start summer off right by creating some cool decorations for your room. We’ll make a hot air balloon lantern, lava “lamp” and more. Please register.

Featured book: Cleopatra: a Life by Stacy Schiff. Copies of the book are available at the library.

Baby Time!
Thursdays, June 23 and 30 at 10:30 am.
Babies, ages 6 to 23 months, and their parents or a caregiver are invited to Baby Story Time! Babies will enjoy simple stories, nursery rhymes and songs in English and Spanish. Registration is requested. Funded by the  Friends of the Bridgeton Public Library.

Come out and learn how you can help the library. New members welcome!

One World, Many Stories Magic Show!
Thursday, June 23 at 7pm.
Mark the Magician will kick-off the library’s Summer Reading Program with a fun, interactive magic show for the whole family. Children and teens, ages 0-18, can sign up for the summer reading program following the show. This program is free and no registration is necessary. Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.

Movie Day!
Saturday, June 25 at 1pm.
People of all ages are invited to watch the newest Wimpy Kid movie on our big screen! Enjoy our free popcorn, or bring your own snacks. Rated PG. No registration necessary.

Rick Waterhouse presents… “King Rupert Greets the World”
Thursday, June 30 at 7pm.
Rick returns to the library to present another fun puppet show featuring magic, music and more. There will be plenty of opportunities for audience participation! Recommended for ages 4-10 and their families. No registration required for this free event. Funded by the Friends of the Bridgeton Library.


Summer Hours
Effective June 4, and continuing until September 3, the library will be open on Saturdays from 10-2 pm.

Guided Tours of Woodruff Indian Museum
The Woodruff Indian Museum, which is located in the lower level of the library, is staffed by knowledgeable volunteers every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. Visitors are welcome!
