WHAT is Let’s Move Bridgeton 325?
Let’s Move! is a comprehensive initiative, launched by First Lady Michelle Obama, dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. Let’s Move! recognizes that everyone has a role to play in ensuring a healthy future. Let’s Move Bridgeton 325 is our city’s specific effort to join Let’s Move! and improve the health of our community through walking, nutrition, and lifestyle change.

WHO can be a part of Let’s Move Bridgeton 325?
Everyone who lives, works, or worships in Bridgeton! This program is perfect for individuals, workplace teams, families, neighborhood groups, church groups, and anyone who wants to get out and move for better health. There is no age restriction. However, minors should be accompanied by a responsible adult and individuals with special needs should enlist the support of a family member or friend when walking if necessary.

WHEN and WHERE does Let’s Move Bridgeton 325 kick off?
The campaign will kick off Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 9:00 am at the entrance to the Bridgeton City Park on Mayor Aitken Drive with a 2-mile walk. Participants in this kickoff will receive a free pedometer kit, courtesy of Walgreens, to begin tracking their walking progress.

HOW can I be a part of the Let’s Move Bridgeton 325 kickoff walk?
Participants may pre-register to participate in the kickoff walk. You can sign up online at the website, http://www.gethealthycumberland.com using the code LET’S MOVE BRIDGETON in the field that says ‘name of your hospital’, or you may request a paper pre-registration form by calling 856-641-8389. Paper preregistration forms are also available at Walgreens Pharmacy Department, 25 E. Broad Street, Bridgeton. Be sure to specify “Let’s Move Bridgeton 325” when you request materials.
