Summer Children's Programs At The Cumberland County Library
Cumberland County Library is celebrating One World, Many Stories, as the theme for the summer reading program. Come to the library kick-off on Saturday, July 9 between 10:30 and 1:30 to register and get the schedule of events. There will be a program from 11 to 12, Exploring the World of China.
During the summer we will enjoy stories from around the world, including Egypt, Japan, Germany and the United States. Have fun with Trickster Tales from Africa and Fairy Tales from Europe and the Far East.
On Monday, July 18 there will be a bus trip to Cape May Light House and Museum and an afternoon at the beach! Stay tuned for a date with Buddy, everyone’s favorite chihuahua!
Did you know that reading just eight (8) books over the summer can help your school-age child stop summer loss, which is the tendency for students’ reading levels to “slip” while they’re not reading in school every day? Luckily, the Cumberland County Library can help with suggestions, recommendations and ideas for great books and other reading materials for your child. Come in and register for the summer reading program, One World, Many Stories on Saturday, July 9.
Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Route 49), Bridgeton. Call 856-453-2210 Ext. 101 for details.
