7/18/2011 - County Library Hosts Cape May Lighthouse Trip

Cumberland County Library is hosting a school bus trip to Cape May Lighthouse, museum and Cape May Point State Park, on Monday July 18. Explore the park’s “constantly changing shoreline, dunes, freshwater coastal marsh and ponds”.

Climb the 199 steps to the top of the lighthouse for awesome views of the surrounding area. “For those who choose not to climb, the Oil House contains a fully-accessible visitors' orientation center and a Museum Shop stocked with maritime accessories and memorabilia”.

The cost is $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children age 3 – 12, children under 3 are free. Your cost includes admission to the lighthouse, museum and park, and transportation from the library to Cape May Lighthouse and back. We leave the library at 9:15 AM and return to the library at 5:00 PM.

Come to the library to register. Payment in cash is due at the time of registration. Please bring your own lunches, snacks and beverages on the trip. The library is located at 800 E. Commerce St., Bridgeton, N.J. Call 856-453-2210 ext. 101 for more information.
