New Jersey Motorsports Park Offers Cumberland County Residents "Dollar Day At The Races" At GRAND-AM Road Racing Event On Friday, July 22nd

One dollar will go along way on Friday, July 22 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The park is offering "Dollar Day at the Races" to all Cumberland County residents, including $1 gate admission, $1 parking, $1 concession items and $1 karting. The promotion is exclusively available to Cumberland County residents with proof of residency.

One dollar event tickets for Friday, July 22 can be purchased online at www.NJMP.com under "Events." Children 12 and under are free. The $1 promotion is only available online by using the "Print at Home" option. At the track on July 22, Cumberland County residents can take advantage of $1 parking, $1 concessions including soft drinks and hot dogs, and $1 karting, good for one five-minute session of "Arrive & Drive" karting from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. NJMP will also offer a variety of enter-to-win opportunities for giveaways and prizes.

"The concept behind Dollar Day at the Races is to reach out to the local community and say thank you," said Brad Scott, general manager of New Jersey Motorsports Park. "Cumberland County residents, no matter of what interest level they may have in motorsports, can come out for just a dollar and see what we are all about. We're one of only 11 tracks nationwide that host GRAND-AM, the premier sports car series in the U.S., and we want to celebrate their return to South Jersey with the residents of Cumberland County.

"Between the world-class sports car action on the track, and the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a go-kart, we encourage families and fans of all ages to come and see us on July 22," said Scott.

Friday, July 22 on-track sessions include practice for the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Ferrari Club Racing Association and Porsche Club of America. Cars are scheduled to be on track from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. For a detailed schedule of events, visit www.NJMP.com.

Following the day's pro racing events, NJMP will host its monthly "Cruise Night" featuring a free pace lap on the track available to the general public, and a display of cruisers, followed by Happy Hour including a DJ, buy one, get one free appetizers and drink specials at the Finish Line Pub. Happy Hour begins at 4 p.m. and the cruise lap rolls off at 5:30 p.m.

NJMP is also offering free vendor exhibit space to Cumberland County based business during the July 22-24 race weekend. This opportunity is limited to a 10' by 10' space and excludes food and beverage vendors. A $25 refundable deposit is required to hold the space for the weekend. For more information or to register, call (856) 327-7251.
