Challenged Books on Display at Cumberland County Library
Did you know that Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, have been challenged, for their content, in classrooms across America. To see a sampling of other books that have faced the censor’s wrath, including The Grapes of Wrath, come to the Cumberland County Library and take a look in our display case.
Celebrate your “Freedom to Read” by reading a book that has been banned or challenged! Banned Books Week is September 30-October 6, 2012.
