3/4/2013 - Is it spring yet? at county library Mar. 12

Cumberland County Library Children’s Reading Program
Is it Spring yet!?

Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30pm Miss Melody will read Everything Spring by Jill Esbaum. The book shows the changes in the spring. The plants and weather change. Many animals wake up after hibernating all winter, while others are welcoming their young into the world. There may be some rain but the sun always shines again.

Following the story, children will make sun catchers out of gelatin plastic. Miss Melody will provide the gelatin plastic that was made from, you guessed it, gelatin! Children will be given many options of colors. They can cut the gelatin into shapes and punch a hole in the top. The clear string will go through the holes to hang the sun catcher. Take it home and wait for spring! All Children’s Reading Programs are free and open to the public.

Cumberland County Library is located at 800 E. Commerce St. (Route 49), Bridgeton, NJ. Call 856-453-2210 ext. 101 for further information.
