June Events at the Bridgeton Public Library
Teen Library Council Meeting
Tuesday, June 11 at 6pm – Teens ages 12-18 are invited to help plan programs for teens and children, help choose new books for the library, and much more! New members welcome.
Summer Reading Program Registration Begins
Monday, June 17. Children and teens, infants through age eighteen, as well as adults, can begin registering for the Bridgeton Library’s “Dig Into Reading” Summer Reading Program. Once registered, participants can log the books they read, either online or at the library, for chances to win fun prizes. To register online, please visit www.bridgetonlibrary.org.
Kids Music Round!
Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 am. Children, infants through age six, are invited to a music party featuring singing, dancing and interactive instrument play. The program will be presented by Marcia Kratz, a licensed Kids Music Round instructor.
Teen Movie Making Program
Tuesday, June 18 at 6pm – Teens, 12-18, will help the library make a movie advertising our upcoming zombie prom. Please register.
Friends of the Library Meeting
Tuesday, June 18 at 7pm. The Friends of the Library support the library’s children’s programs and entire book budget. Come out and learn how you can help your library. New members are always welcome!
Baby Time!
Thursdays, June 20 and 27 at 10:30 am. Babies, ages 6 to 23 months, and their parents or a caregiver are invited to Baby Story Time where we will share simple stories, nursery rhymes and songs. No registration is necessary.
Sciencetellers present…The Bugs of Blackwood!
Thursday, June 20 at 7pm. Kids ages 5 and up, and their families, are invited to an interactive science show featuring experiments with fire, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals and more! No registration is necessary for this free event! Funded by a Community Development Block Grant.
Preschool Story Time
Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 am. Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs, finger plays, crafts and a snack. Story time is free and does not require registration.
Story and Craft
Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 am – Kids ages 7 and up are invited to share stories, activities and crafts. This program will take place at the same time as our Preschool Story Time and is perfect for older siblings! Please register.
Teen Movie & Pizza
Tuesday, June 25 at 6 pm. Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to watch a new movie and enjoy some delicious pizza. After a zombie epidemic, R (a zombie) rescues Jule (a human survivor) from a zombie attack. Rated PG-13. Please register.
Dig Into Reading Magic Show!
Thursday, June 27 at 7pm. Magician Mark Zacharia will present a show filled with magic and comedy for all ages. This free event does not require registration. Funded by a community Development Block Grant for Library Programming.
