Colonial Dance Presentation at the Cumberland County Library

   On Saturday, December 7, the Cumberland County Library in Bridgeton, NJ will host a free public presentation of colonial dancing with audience participation encouraged. Learn 18th-century contra dances and hear stories about how the Founding Fathers and others experienced celebration and courtship through dance. The dances are simple and fun for the whole family. The program will be presented by the scholar/actors of the American Historical Theatre. This free hour-long presentation begins at 2 p.m. in the library’s Meeting Room, in the lower level of the library.

   Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts /Department of State, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
