Abolitionists Program at Cumberland County Library

   A free event will be held on July 12 from 2 pm to 5 pm, “The Abolitionists: Screening and Discussion”. A PBS film concerning the abolitionist movement to abolish slavery will be shown, and Dr. James Johnson, an independent history scholar, will facilitate an interactive discussion about equality in US history after the film. This event is made possible by the Face to Face: Community Conversations program of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
