Virtual Story Time
Wednesdays, June 2, 9 and 16 10:30 a.m.
Join us for an online version of our Preschool Story Time where we’ll share stories, songs, finger plays and movement activities. Story Times are a fun way to help your child develop skills they will need to be ready to read. This program is recommended for ages 5 and younger but the whole family is welcome to join from home! Outdoor Story Time (Weather Permitting)
Thursdays, June 3, 10 and 17 10:30 a.m.
Join us as we share stories, songs, finger plays and movement activities outside! Children ages 5 and younger and a caregiver can meet at the fenced-in, grassy area near the library’s side ramp. Participants are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on and are asked to stay six feet from other families. Children must stay with their caregivers. Take and Make Crafts for Kids
Families are invited to visit the library this month to pick up “Take and Make” crafts to make at home. Kits will include instructions and supplies, as well as a list of any additional supplies you will need to have on hand. This month we’ll feature two kits:
• June 1st-June 19th - Juneteenth Confetti Popper -- Celebrate Juneteenth by making your own confetti popper.
• June 21st –July 3rd – Patriotic Bubble Wand -- Make a red, white and blue bubble wand in celebration of the Fourth of July.

Online TAB (Teen Advisory Board) Meeting

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to a virtual meeting of our Teen Advisory Board. The group is open to teens who would like to make a difference at the library while earning volunteer time. Teen Anime Night

Teens are invited to view and discuss anime, share artwork and plan for future anime programs. This will be an in-person event and masks and social distancing will be required. Virtual Reading Buddies Training Session
Tuesday, June 29 6 p.m.
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to participate in Virtual Reading Buddies, a new program at the library which partners kids (ages 6-10) who want to sharpen their reading skills with trained teen volunteers. Children and teens will read to each other over Zoom. The sessions will be 30 minutes long and take place once a week for five weeks. All sessions will be monitored by library staff.
A training session for Teens will take place on Tuesday, June 29 at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Teens must attend the training session to participate in Reading Buddies. A Zoom link will be emailed to teens before the training session.
Virtual Reading Buddies sessions will be held on five Saturdays: July 17, 24 & 31, and August 7 & 14.
Interested teens should be able to attend all sessions.
