Baby and Toddler Stay & Play!

Monday, January 13, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 2 and younger and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs and fingerplays followed by a play session with toys provided by the Shirley Eves Center Toy Library! Dungeons and Dragons for Ages 10-12

Saturday, January 11, 2-4 p.m.
Come learn the basics of character creation, role playing, combat skills, and more of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. Players of all experience levels are welcome but the program is geared towards beginner players. Registration is required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/erryE8t9MyrY9j8z9

FURever As Friends Reading Program

Monday, January 13, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Homeschool Story & STEAM

Wednesday, January 15, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Homeschool families are invited to a monthly program where we feature a book from our collection and pair it with a STEAM activity. This month’s book is The Invention Hunters Discover How Electricity Works by Korwin Briggs. This program is recommended for school-aged students grades K - 6. Registration is required. Family Evening Story Time

Drum2BFit for Kids!

Monday, January 27, 6:30 p.m.
Kids ages 3-12 are invited to participate in a fun, high energy program that combines cardio and music while beating a drum to their favorite tunes! Miss Val, a certified cardio drumming instructor, will guide kids through basic movements like squatting, bending, twisting and drumming. This class promotes physical health, boosts mental health and just happens to be a whole lot of fun! All equipment will be provided. Registration is required. LEGO Club

Wednesday, January 29, 6-7 p.m.

Teen Volunteer Meeting & Book Battle Awards Celebration!

Tuesday, January 7, 6-7:30 p.m.
Teens, 13-18
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to make a difference at the library while earning volunteer time. Members help to plan events for teens and kids, suggest books for the library, and much more. At this meeting, we will also announce the winner of this year’s Book Battle Competition and celebrate with snacks and awards! Registration is required. Teen Maker Night

Tuesday, January 14, 6-7:30 p.m.

Safety Awareness and Self Defense for Teens and Adults

Tuesday, January 21, 6-7:30 p.m.
Teens and adults are invited to learn safety and self-defense skills that can be used in real-life situations. Presented by the Kenney Protective Agency, the class will cover: social life and social media safety, assertiveness training, basic self defense techniques and more.

This workshop will help attendees develop the mindset for real self-defense and the skills needed to defend against any situation. No prior experience is necessary and people of all abilities are welcome. Registration is required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/SGZQsqJwgiQ2yA5YA

Dungeons and Dragons

Tuesday, January 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Teens 13-18 are invited to join our Dungeon Master as he leads us through a monthly D & D adventure. Tabletop/role playing experience is not required and new players are welcome. Cumberland County Teens Read!

The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18. Teens can earn monthly incentives by logging their time spent reading, writing reviews and/or completing activities using the library’s Beanstack app. For more information, please visit cclnj.org or call the Youth Services Department at (856) 453-2210 Ext. 26105.
