February 2025 Youth Programs at the Cumberland County Library

CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

Take Your Child to the Library Day

Saturday, February 1 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day at the Cumberland County Library. Visit the Children’s Department between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to make a craft, take a picture at our photo station and receive a free gift book! Registration is not required.

Baby and Toddler Time

Mondays, February 3, 10 & 24, 10:30-11 a.m. Children ages 2 and younger and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs and fingerplays! Registration is required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/dgqonF4Ziqtzbqnf8

Baby and Toddler Stay & Play!

Monday, February 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Children ages 2 and younger and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs and fingerplays followed by a play session with toys provided by the Shirley Eves Center Toy Library! Story Time

Thursdays, February 6, 13, 20 & 27, 10:30 a.m. Children ages 3-5 and a caregiver can join us as we share stories, songs, movement activities and a craft! Dungeons and Dragons for Ages 10-12

Saturday, February 8, 2-4 p.m. Come learn the basics of character creation, role playing, combat skills, and more of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition. FURever As Friends Reading Program

Monday, February 10, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Children and teens of all ages are invited to come read to a fabulous furry friend!

LEGO Club

Wednesday, February 26, 6-7 p.m. Kids ages 5-12 and their families are invited to our monthly Lego program! Come in and build using our large collection of bricks and minifigures. Teen Volunteer Meeting
Tuesday, February 4, 6-7 p.m. Teens ages 13-18 are invited to make a difference at the library while earning volunteer time. Teen Maker Night – Card Making Edition!

Dungeons and Dragons

Tuesday, February 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Teens 13-18 are invited to join our Dungeon Master as he leads us through a monthly D & D adventure. Tabletop/role playing experience is not required and new players are welcome. Pre-made characters will be available for those that need them. Registration is required. Teen “Speed Dating with a Book!”

Tuesday, February 25, 6-7:30 p.m. Teens ages 13-18 are invited to fall in love at the library at our Speed Dating with a Book program! Participants will spend a few minutes with books from several different genres before deciding whether to add them to their TBR list or move on!
