Read Across America Family Night
Monday, March 3, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Families with children 10 and younger are invited to celebrate Read Across America Day with a special program presented by NJ4S and Gateway Wellness Center! Our special guests will share the book If You Give a Mouse an iPhone by Ann Droyd and participants can make a bookmark and enjoy a snack. Each family will leave with valuable information about children and screen time, as well as a free copy of the book while supplies last. Registration is required. Children ages 2 and younger and a caregiver are invited for stories, songs and fingerplays followed by a play session with toys provided by the Shirley Eves Center Toy Library! Children ages 3-5 and a caregiver can join us as we share stories, songs, movement activities and a craft! Library story times are a fun way to help your child develop skills they will need to be ready to read. Registration is required.

FURever As Friends Reading Program

NJ Makers Day – Minecraft In Real Life!
Saturday, March 22, 1-4 p.m.
Families are invited to celebrate NJ Makers Day at the Cumberland County Library as we bring the ultimate “maker” game – Minecraft – to life! This family-friendly program will feature hands-on activities in every “biome” of the library, with each station spotlighting a “real-life” version of something found in Minecraft:
- Animals from Minecraft with the Cohanzick Zoo
- Plant seeds with the American Littoral Society
- Dye wool with dyes made from plants with fiber artist Linda Jackson
- Create Pixel Art with Jennifer Carll-Simon
- Minecraft Photo Shoot
- And more!

Teens 13-18 are invited to celebrate the release of the newest book in the Hunger Games series: Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins! Attendees can bring a side dish, snack or dessert to share. Teen Book Discussion & Zine Craft

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to discuss Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu and make their own “Zine.”

Cumberland County Teens Read! The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18.
