Baby and Toddler Time

Story Time

Thursdays, September 4, 11, 18, & 25, 10:30 a.m.
Children ages 3-5 and a caregiver can join us as we share stories, songs, movement activities and a craft! Library story times are a fun way to help your child develop skills they will need to be ready to read. Registration is required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/XY7FwRkgvscbU51W6

Homeschool Story & STEAM: Virtual Author Visit with Kate Messner!

Monday, September 15, 2-3 p.m.
Homeschool families are invited to a virtual visit with award-winning author Kate Messner at the Cumberland County Library! Kate will share the research and writing process behind her popular Over and Under nature picture book series, including the newest book, Over and Under the Coral Reef. She’ll also offer a sneak preview of upcoming Over & Under books and answer reader questions. This program is recommended for school-aged students grades K - 6. Registration is required.

Dragon’s Library Card Celebration!

Monday, September 15, 6:30 p.m.
Families are invited to celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month at a party for Dragon! This friendly mascot from the Shoppes at Dragon Village will be the special guest at an event featuring fun stories and activities, and will receive their very own library card! Each child in attendance will receive a goody bag provided by Shoppes at Dragon Village and the opportunity to sign up for their own library card. Registration is required. LEGO Club

Wednesday, September 24, 6-7 p.m.

Teen Volunteer Meeting

Tuesday, September 9, 6-7 p.m.
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to make a difference at the library while earning volunteer time. Members help to plan events for teens and kids, suggest books for the library, and much more. Registration is required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/enZTWqK428VwzmZs6

Teen Cookies and Coloring

Tuesday, September 16, 6-7:30 p.m.

Teen Dungeons and Dragons

Tuesday, September 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Teens 13-18 are invited to join our Dungeon Master as he leads us through a monthly D & D adventure. Tabletop/role playing experience is not required and new players are welcome. Cumberland County Teens Read!

The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18. Books & Brews Book Club

If you love books you'll love our book club, “Books & Brews”! Join us for a coffee and talk about what book you're reading! YOU choose the book ... no assigned reading! Free ESL Classes and GED Prep Classes

Do you need help to get ready for the GED test? Or looking to improve your English? Free classes to prep for the GED, language arts or learn English are now available at Cumberland County Library. Free Line Dancing Class

The Reel Thing

If you love movies and love talking about them, then you’re invited to join Cumberland County Library’s new film discussion club, The Reel Thing, for an afternoon film followed by a thought-provoking discussion. The club will meet one Saturday every month, and club members take turns picking the films we’ll watch and discuss at upcoming meetings. Yarn & Darn

Thursdays, 5:30-7:30pm
A weekly drop-in social club for fiber artists of all kinds to work on personal projects, learn from each other, and socialize! Bring your own work-in-progress and have some fun. This is NOT a class.
