Salary: $32,000 – 35,667.00
Duties: Under close supervision, performs routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions; answers the telephone, take messages, formats and key enters/types correspondence, documents, reports, charts and other materials on a computer console, typewriter, or other key entry device used by the agency; does other related duties as required.

Examples of Work:
• Acts of first point-of-contact as a receptionist within a busy county-run outpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility which will require the ability to pleasantly wait on walk-in clients as well as answering the phone in professional and considerate manner.
• Be able to adequately understand and be familiar with basic requirements for admission and be able to inform clients of what documents they need to produce in order to be scheduled.
• Creates new client charts on an electronic platform as well as puts together paper charts immediately upon establishing contact with a new client.
• Must become acquainted with and adhere to the strict federal confidentiality laws (42CFR), Informed Consent and all other laws and regulations pertaining to alcohol and substance use treatment.
• Collects copays, writes receipts and submits funds for county deposits per outlined policies and procedures. May drop off/pick up various types of correspondence between county buildings.
• Able to submit health insurance claims for reimbursement for services rendered. Attention to detail, neat appearance, professional conduct, reliability and ability to multi-task are a must.
• Provides general, routine information in person or over the telephone; refers complicated or non-routine inquiries to appropriate staff.
Requirements: Ability to follow oral and written directions in a timely and accurate manner. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with the public. Knowledge of modern office methods to include experience with email, data entry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing of at least 40 net words per minute. Appointees are required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
Hours: The typical work week consists of 35 hours, Monday through Friday.
M&T: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM, W Th F: 8:30AM – 4:30 PM
