Women’s History Month Reading Challenge

Women's History Month is a time to shine a light on the many accomplishments of women. FURever As Friends Reading Program

Children and teens of all ages are invited to come read to a fabulous furry friend! FURever as Friends therapy pet teams will be available to help kids practice their reading. Participants can bring a book from home or choose one at the library. Registration is required. NJ Makers Day – Make a Wind Chime!
Saturday, March 21 1-2:30 pm
Families are invited to celebrate New Jersey Makers Day by making a wind chime with local artist Linda Jackson! We’ll be using canning rings for this project and participants are welcome to bring some from home if they have extra. “African Folktales from Around the World"

The Friends of the Cumberland County Library invite you to an enchanting evening of global storytelling with Michelle Washington Wilson, one of New Jersey’s most beloved storytellers. In African Folktales From Around the World, Michelle transports audiences on a magical journey—no passport required—as she shares classic and original tales that celebrate culture, imagination, and the universal joy of story. As part of this special program, Michelle also presents selections from “Anansi Spins, Stories with Friends,” bringing the legendary Anansi the Spider—and his folklore kin, Brer Rabbit—to life with humor, energy, and heart. Her storytelling is warm, mesmerizing, and truly magical—an experience that reminds us how stories braid memory and build bridges across generations. This family-friendly program is suitable for toddlers through adults. Come ready to listen, laugh, and travel the world through story. Registration is required. Teen Volunteer Meeting

Teen Craft Night – Make a Fairy Door
Tuesday, March 17, 6-7:30 p.m.
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to use their creative skills and our supplies to make a fairy door. Fairy doors are small, decorative doors that can be placed against walls, trees, or in gardens. When finished, they resemble tiny portals that might attract magical folk such as fairies, gnomes, goblins or even leprechauns. Registration is required. Teen Dungeons & Dragons
Tuesday, March 24, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Teens 13-18 are invited to join our Dungeon Master as he leads us through a monthly D & D adventure. Tabletop/role playing experience is not required and new players are welcome. Teen “Tastings” & Bingo for Books!
Tuesday, March 31, 6-7:30 p.m.
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to join us for YA book and snack “tastings,” informal book discussions and several rounds of Bingo for Books! A book tasting is a fun opportunity to “sample” a selection of books to discover new authors, genres and new favorite books! Cumberland County Teens Read!
The Cumberland County Teens Read program is an ongoing challenge designed to foster a love of reading in teens ages 13-18. Yoga with Ceci

One-hour sessions featuring a soft and gentle practice with breath work and flow, appropriate for beginner and intermediate practitioners. The Reel Thing
