Salary: $33,746 or $34,771 Bilingual
Duties: Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of specific duties on a paraprofessional level to assist in the determination of eligibility for financial assistance in accord with rules and regulations promulgated by the NJ Department of Human Services; interviews applicants and makes telephone and written inquiries; maintains record of facts on cases; responds to questions and complaints relative to program eligibility; prepares reports, maintains records, other duties as assigned. Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand or otherwise communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Bilingual preferred. Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office software. Ability to follow procedures and daily instructions. Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license is required.
Hours: Thirty-five (35) hour per week; Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screening.
