MAINTENANCE REPAIRER (ELECTRICAL HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING)

Starting Salary: $35,820 – $48,512
Duties: Under direction performs a variety of routine general maintenance/repair tasks involved in electrical heating and air conditioning systems; may be called on to do other types of general maintenance work; does other related duties as required. The examples of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only. A particular position using this title may not perform all duties listed in this job specification. Conversely, all duties performed on the job may not be listed.
Examples of Work:
• Repairs electrical heating and air conditioning systems for proper operation.
• Replaces such parts as switches, fuses, filters, and other minor parts.
• Makes electrical and plumbing repairs, replacements, and installation of controls (for example, hot air valves and cold air valves).
• Performs preventive maintenance/repairs on centrifugal water chillers and air conditioner water cooled condensers or equivalent equipment.
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work. Ability to obtain, store, safeguard, distribute, and properly use needed equipment, materials, supplies. Ability to maintain records.
Requirements: Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Hours: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
Note: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing that includes drug screenings.
