Starting Salary: $77,000 – $82,190

Duties: Under the direction of the Cumberland County Human Services Department Head/Clinical Director of First Step Clinic, oversees the everyday operations of First Step Clinic, a Division of Mental Health and Addictions (DMHAS) licensed co-occurring substance use disorder treatment facility; provides supervision of Counselor Interns, Substance Abuse Counselor I and Substance Abuse Counselor 2 staff per NJAC Licensing & Outpatient Regulation Requirements; performs other related duties as required.

Examples of Work:
Provides formal group and individual supervision of all clinical staff per NJAC Licensing and Outpatient Regulations.
Provides training and education to staff pertaining to the twelve (12) Core Functions of Drug and Alcohol Counseling 
Develops, and supervises a counseling program within the treatment facility, including responsibility for supervision of subordinate staff.
Directs the identification, collaboration, coordination and integration of available community resources and service into the program
Knowledge of Medicaid and other Fee-for-Service (FFS) documentation requirements and service deliverables. 
Meets and visits with community referral programs/agencies to help form aftercare service network for institutions Addiction Services patients. 
Monitors client attendance and active participation in services, programs and groups and takes corrective action as appropriate and per NJAC Regulations.
Develops new programs and groups to address client needs, specifically to enhance client reintegration into the community.

Requirements:
LICENSE: Applicants must possess a license as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), issued by the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Department of Law and Public Safety and be a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) year of experience in counseling or social work having responsibility for gathering and analyzing social or health information from clients, the determination of their needs, and the planning and carrying out of a treatment plan geared to the needs of individual clients; one (1) year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday through Friday. Four (4) days 8:30am – 4:00pm. One day 12:00pm – 8:00pm. The supervisor must remain on call via phone during standard operating hours.

Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing including drug screening.
