Keyboarding Clerk 1

Salary: $31,000/$32,000 (bilingual)
Cumberland Area Transit System
Duties: Reports to the CATS (Cumberland Area Transit System) Division Director; under supervision, performs routine and repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions; answers telephones to record trips in scheduling software or field questions; makes entries, inquiries, cancellations, and modifications of records as requested; communicates with bus drivers via 2-way radio; maintains records and files; reviews, monitors and edits manifests for service optimization; and does other related duties as required.
Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand or otherwise communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment (i.e., fax and copy machines), with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office software programs. Ability to follow procedures and daily instructions.
Hours: 35 Hours per week.
Note: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness screenings. This position is subject to a typing examination in which candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing forty (40) net words per minute.
