Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office
Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000
DESCRIPTION: Under direction of a supervisory official within the County Prosecutor's Office, administers and implements a program designed to provide prompt, sensitive services to victims of sexual assault, ensures the accurate collection of forensic evidence, develops and monitors procedures, and supervises the work of nurse examiners; does other related duties as required.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
• Collect medical evidence.
• Provide testimony.
• Play an integral role in connecting the worlds of medicine and law.
• Oversee a team of forensic nurse examiners in Salem & Cumberland counties.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing recognized by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
EXPERIENCE: Must have completed three (3) years of nursing experience in emergency medicine, women’s health, or critical care, including demonstration of clinical competence in performing a forensic sexual assault examination
LICENSE:
• Applicants must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Applicants must have successfully completed the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training program for both adult and pediatric victims and possess a valid Forensic Nurse – Certified Sexual Assault (FN-CSA) specialty certificate issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey and abide by County Motor Vehicle Policies to perform the essential duties of the position.
HOURS: Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. This position, however, requires work beyond a typical shift, which includes weekend and evening hours.
NOTE: Offers of employment for this title are contingent upon successful completion of physical fitness testing, to include drug screening.
