6/26/2011 - County Utilities Authority Commissioner Honored

Cumberland County Freeholder Director William F. Whelan (left) recently presented a proclamation to Cumberland County Utilities Authority Commissioner Harvey Friedman of Upper Deerfield Township in recognition of him being named Outstanding Commissioner of the Year by the New Jersey Association of Environmental Authorities. Friedman was first appointed to the authority in 1988 by the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders and during his tenure has served on numerous committees, including community relations, finance and budget, employee relations, facilities expansion, operations, industrial waste and ad hoc. After 23 years of dedication and service to the authority, Friedman was recently awarded the prestigious WAVE award from the Association of Environmental Authorities.
