October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month! During the month of October, the Cumberland County Department of Information Technology, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cumberland County Office of Consumer Protection will be providing residents with cybersecurity and consumer protection tips. Our first tip is to start off Cyber Security Awareness Month by running an antivirus program on your computer. Each week Chief information Security Officer (CISO) Stan Field (DoIT), Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae and Director James Matlock (Division of Consumer Affairs) will offer a different tip for Cumberland County residents in order to promote cybersecurity awareness during the month of October. We are joined today at the Cumberland County 911 Center with County Administrator Kim Wood, Deputy County Administrator Jody Hirata and Director Gabriel Scarpa (911 Center).
