CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ (1/08/2021) - The Cumberland County Health Department is pleased to announce that we are opening registration for Covid-19 vaccinations for those that fall into the NJDOH Phase 1a priority group. This includes any type of worker within a healthcare setting. Examples include, but are not limited to:
• licensed healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists
• staff like receptionists, janitors, mortuary services, laboratory technicians
• consultants, per diem, and contractors who are not directly employed by the facility
• unpaid workers like health professional students, trainees, volunteers, and essential caregivers
• community health workers, doulas, and public health professionals like Medical Reserve Corps
• personnel with variable venues like EMS, paramedics, funeral staff, and autopsy workers
• other paid or unpaid people who work in a healthcare setting, who may have direct or indirect contact with infectious persons or materials, and who cannot work from home.
• As of January 7th, Sworn Law Enforcement and Fire have been added to the current priority list
The clinics will begin this coming Tuesday January 12th. Registration is required. To register, please visit www.ccdoh.org. Choose your date and time and answer the appropriate questions. You will receive the location of the vaccination clinic site during the registration process. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email that will have a link to the “Covid-19 Vaccination Registration Form”. This is a fillable form. Please complete the form, print it out, and bring it with you to your appointment. Please note: if you go to register and there are no time slots showing, please close the browser window and try to sign in again.
The health department currently offers the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, recommended for people 18 years of age and older. Because the supply of vaccine is limited, only people in the CDC-defined Phase 1a priority will be given appointments. Also accepted will be those in other priority groups selected announced by the New Jersey Department of Health. The health department is asking those in the current category to please bring proof of occupation/volunteer status. Walk-up registration will not be accepted. As more doses become available, more appointment slots and vaccination clinics will be opened. Please visit www.ccdoh.org every Friday to view updated clinic schedules for the following week.
