Summer is here, which means it’s almost time for the annual Summer Reading Program at the Cumberland County Library! This year’s theme is “All Together Now” and the program runs June 26 - August 5, with registration set to begin on Monday, June 19.
Along with activities for kids and teens, the Cumberland County Library has summer reading events planned for grownups too! Anyone over age 18 may register in person at the library, online at www.cclnj.org, or by phone at (856)453-2210 x26103.
Participants in the program will get a chance to win great prizes graciously donated by our community business partners! Once registered in the program, summer reading participants will get extra chances to win a prize by updating their weekly reading log and attending events at the library.
Join in our “EXPRESS YOURSELF” programs, every Tuesday and Wednesday from June 27 to August 2. Anyone over 18 is welcome to participate, regardless of skill level! Every visit to a program gets you an extra prize ticket for a chance to win!
- Beginner's Basic Hip Hop- Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30am: Instructor Anna Plowman will teach foundational hip-hop skills, exercises, and short dance combos.
- Art With Aaliyah- Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30am: Library staff member Aaliyah will host informal open art sessions. Learn a new drawing skill, or just drop in for some grown-up coloring!
