Local girl scouts earned VIP badges selling cookies to Commissioner Victoria Groetsch-Lods and Cumberland County’s RCSJ Board of Trustees member, Danielle Carroll.
Commissioner Groestsch-Lods and Trustee Carroll helped local girl scouts earn new patches this weekend handing out, “I sold cookies to a VIP,” patches as they purchased their supply of one of kind, girl scout cookies.
This patch can be earned by girl scouts when they happen to sell boxes to well-known community members. This patch helps community leaders to interact with young women in the Girl Scouts program and promote the value of public service.
Commissioner Groetsch-Lods remarked, “Not only does scouts teach our young men and women about leadership and service, but the girl scout cookie program is an incredible entrepreneurship program teaching our young ladies about business and economics. I can’t wait to watch these young ladies turn into future leaders of Cumberland County.”
