Commissioner Victoria Lods had a wonderful time reading to a group of enthusiastic young readers today in celebration of Read Across America Week.

Read Across America Week is an annual event that celebrates reading and encourages children and families to enjoy books together. It typically takes place in the first week of March, coinciding with Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2nd.

The hope is that the joy of reading doesn't stop with Read Across America Week. Let’s continue to encourage a love of reading throughout the year.
