Commissioner Director Jim Sauro and County Administrator Kevin Smaniotto recently reviewed the grandstands at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds as part of the county’s ongoing investment in this community space.
The grandstands are scheduled to be improved and replaced, marking another step forward in a series of upgrades designed to make the Fairgrounds safer, more welcoming, and better equipped to host events.
Over the past year, nearly $2.5 million has been committed to Fairgrounds projects, including new fencing, infrastructure upgrades, welcoming signage, and accessibility improvements. These investments are already attracting new events and will continue to strengthen the Fairgrounds as a centerpiece for Cumberland County.
The Commissioners remain committed to enhancing recreational opportunities throughout the county while preserving spaces that bring our community together.
