Commissioner Victoria Groetsch-Lods
Groetsch-Lods has spent the majority of her professional career using her talents in the Cumberland County Community, considering her career to be an evolution in public service and governmental knowledge.
Groetsch-Lods previously served as chief-of-staff to Senator Nicholas Asselta in the First Legislative District. Working alongside the former Senator for years in Trenton and the district, helping to develop legislation and policies on central issues affecting Cumberland County residents, such as maximum state funding of our county's school districts and stimulating local economic development. She has a keen understanding on various governmental levels working together and how to effectively advocate for local residents to achieve the best results for the taxpayers.
Groetsch-Lods later became the first Executive Director for Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity building homes, raising funds and volunteer support for local families in need. From there, she recognized the need to support the most treasured assets among us, our children and has taken her passion for public service to the classroom as an educator at Bridgeton High School, and now Millville High School.
Her commitment to serving the people of Cumberland County is deeply rooted, as Groetsch-Lods is the fifth generation to live on her family farm. She has spent a lifetime gleaning generation knowledge about the challenges of agriculture and operating a business in New Jersey; she is committed to being a voice for these issues. "Victoria Farms" is a family owned and operated vegetable farm, located in South Vineland, proudly serving local families by donating hundreds of pounds of produce for food baskets each year during the holidays to help support the importance of families gathering around the dinner table.
Groetsch-Lods graduated from Cumberland County College and Rowan University with a bachelor's degree in communications and journalism. She if a lifelong resident of Vineland and proud mother of two young boys, John Henry and James. Groetsch-Lods has been incredibly active and committed to the community and being the voice of practical solutions to the complex issues in Cumberland County.
