Alcohol & Drug Use Services Office
This Department:
Administers State and County funds for prevention and treatment programs that address alcohol, drug abuse and addiction.
- Coordinates planning of services for county residents through the development of the Annual Comprehensive Alcoholism and Drug Plan.
- The department also operates the First Step Clinic, an outpatient program, and the Municipal Alliances to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Use.
- The County Alliance Steering Subcommittee (CASS) oversees the Municipal Alliances.
First Step Clinic
The treatment program provides evidenced-based practices for outpatient and intensive outpatient services for those with an alcohol and/or substance abuse disorder diagnosis and those in need of co-occurring mental health treatment. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
Services include:
- Diagnostic Assessments
- Urine drug screen monitoring
- Individual, group and family counseling
- Mental health evaluations
- Mental health counseling
- APN Psychiatric evaluation
- APN Psychiatric medication monitoring
- Early intervention (level .05)
- Outpatient services (level 1)
- Intensive outpatient services (level 2)
- Comprehensive Adolescent treatment services
- Adult anger management program
Mission
To provide comprehensive alcohol and/or drug use disorder and co-occurring services to all men, women, and children of Cumberland County and neighboring communities.
