CUMBERLAND COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

The Cumberland County Department of Corrections maintains a mail system in which all incarcerated persons can send and receive mail.

For sending mail:

  • All mail, except legal mail from an attorney or law firm, will be searched.
  • Mail should be sent in a self-addressed stamped envelope (S.A.S.E) to the provided address.
  • Books and pictures are allowed, but there are some rules:
  • Books must be softcover and come directly from the authorized publisher.
  • Only 7 pictures, up to a size of 5"x7" each, are allowed, with no nudity.
  • Money can only be sent via United States Postal Service money orders.
  • There's a 3-day hold on deposited money before it's available for use by the incarcerated person.
  • Remember not to send contraband like drugs or sharp objects, as these will be investigated and could lead to prosecution.

****NO COLORED ENVELOPES OR MAGAZINES WILL BE ACCEPTED****
