The Cumberland County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is the coordinating agency for the county's emergency management programs and activities. OEM provides planning and training exercises to ensure preparedness for large-scale emergencies and disasters.

NJ Register Ready helps people with disabilities to register their special needs with their county office of emergency management. NJ residents with special needs are encouraged to complete the online registration annually. This information is used by emergency planners for their disaster preparedness planning.
