What We Do
The Cumberland County Department of Planning, Tourism, & Community Affairs is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Cumberland County. This means working to promote new jobs and industry, as well as protecting our unique environment and cultural heritage of the community.
The Department staffs the Cumberland County Planning Board, the Cumberland County Agriculture Development Board, the Tourism Advisory Council, the County Recreation Commission, and the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission. Additionally, many special events and community-wide meetings are coordinated through the Department. GIS, Census and other demographic information, as well as aerial photographs and maps are provided by the Department.
Whether one is seeking a site plan application, the latest population counts, or Farmland Preservation, the Cumberland County Department of Planning, Tourism, & Community Affairs is an excellent resource and continues to demonstrate why Cumberland County is a great place to call home.
